Yves Saint Laurent first visited Marrakech in 1966, and from that moment he was captivated by the city's unique charm. As an everlasting haven of creativity, YSL purchased Jardin Majorelle in 1980, which is renowned for its cobalt blue walls and lush botanical beauty providing a serene oasis in the midst of the bustling city. After YSL’s passing 2008, the Kingdom of Morocco enshrined in law the protection of Jardin Majorelle as being a public benefit.
In 2017, the legacy of YSL in Marrakech was celebrated with the opening of the YSL Museum, which is next door to Jardin Majorelle. The museum is not merely a homage to the designer, it’s a tribute to the profound influence that Marrakech had on his creative process. It's an exploration of the synergy between fashion and art in the heart of Morocco, a place that nurtured the spirit of one of the world's most influential designers.
Our Majorelle Gardens experience includes a personal guided tour of Jardin Majorelle + YSL Museum + our Medina Tour package. Note that Jardin Majorelle is open every day of the week, but the YSL Museum is closed on Wednesdays.

Our expert local guide will pick you up from your Marrakech accommodation and take you to the Majorelle Gardens. You'll have a guided tour of the gardens and YSL Museum.
Afterwards, you'll be brought to the Marrakech Medina where you'll then have an enchanting walk through the labyrinthine maze. You’ll stroll through the various souks and see artisans crafting babouche slippers, leather goods, natural dyes, metal-smithing, ceramic tiles and much more.
If you fancy some curated inspiration or just want a break from the chaotic streets, you can be guided through any of the city’s incredible museums like Maison de la Photografie, Dar El Bacha Musée Des Confluences or Bahia Palace.
As Marrakech is a mecca of shopping, we know the best places to go where you’ll get quality artisan made goods made in Morocco for the best price. The day is your’s with your guide, so you can shop until you drop.
All along the tour your guide will be explaining the history, significance and everlasting influence of the city, country and culture. This is an intimate and experiential tour that you’ll always remember.
